Job description

The purpose of this role is to plan and execute Organisational Development strategies across the organization by developing and providing interventions through change management, performance management, succession planning, and related transformation processes.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAS)

  1. Business Planning and Financial Management
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager: OD and Transformation to develop long-term strategic plans for the department.
  • Participate in business planning sessions and identify mitigation of organizational risks relating to projects.
  • Develop project plans for national initiatives and implement agreed decisions.
  • Prepare and submit required reports monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Develop, Implement, and Monitor Organisational Development Initiatives
    • Implement and facilitate OD interventions and plans.
    • Develop communication strategies for OD processes.
    • Support managers and employees in change management and OD initiatives.
    • Review progress and report to stakeholders.
    • Coordinate participation in annual surveys (e.g., DNA, Deloitte Best Company to Work).
    • Ensure compliance with teambuilding guidelines and manage change management data.
  • Ensure OD and Change Management Systems are Implemented to Enhance Sustainability
    • Design and execute change management strategies aligned with business strategies.
    • Manage strategic and operational learning projects across SANBS.
    • Engage with clients to address change management needs and develop solutions.
    • Translate business requirements into change initiatives and develop implementation plans.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
    • Integrate change with HR processes to improve employee value proposition.
    • Identify resource inefficiencies and promote process digitization and multi-skilling.
  • Coordinate Implementation of Change Management and Transformation Initiatives
    • Develop change management methodologies.
    • Support strategic projects and embed diversity and inclusion strategies.
    • Implement interventions for organizational transformation.
    • Manage transition and resistance plans, coach teams, and support change efforts.
    • Monitor and report on change management metrics and advise leadership.
  • Stakeholder Relationships
    • Maintain relationships with external service providers and manage risks.
    • Contribute to company culture initiatives and stay updated on field developments.
    • Align with company vision and values, and support HR communication plans.
  • Data Analysis Methodologies
    • Support HR with metrics, reporting, and analytics related to projects.
    • Use technology to analyze enterprise-wide data and present findings to management.
    • Collaborate to improve strategic and operational performance through data insights.
    • Design HR data integrations and reports.

    Education and Experience

    • Honors Degree in Organizational/Industrial Psychology or HR-related field.
    • Postgraduate qualification in Business Management (advantage).
    • Minimum 5 years in Business and HR, with 3 years in management and 5 years in project and change management.

    Additional Requirements

    • Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced), SAP.
    • Driver's license.
    • Knowledge of HCM policies and organizational strategy.
