In this role, you will form part of the Organisational Effectiveness team which is one of the practice areas that sit in Group Human Capital (GHC) at Old Mutual. Our ambition in GHC is to find, develop and keep the people who care about OM’s customers, about OM, about each other and about their work; who can, and do, show up to work every day, to do their job to make OM succeed, in ways we can’t even imagine yet.

This role is responsible for focusing on the people aspects of change and leading strategic projects. The role develops an integrated change plan and is individually accountable for the execution of the plan.

You'll also be tasked with managing stakeholder engagement, developing a stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, change communications, the coordination of change interventions, measuring the effectiveness of change and all other change management-related activities, including tracking and reporting of, to enhance business outcomes and accelerate the adoption of strategic business initiatives in an integrated coherent manner.

  • Researches and implements best practices for change management on strategic change projects
  • Leads Change on Projects
  • Provides change advisory to GHC Practices
  • Identifies and analyses the change impact for the overall project
  • Develops the integrated change strategy and plan
  • Develops the communications or ensures that the Segment/Group communications team develops the communications plan
  • Develops the stakeholder engagement plan
  • Develops the training plan based on a detailed needs assessment
  • Establishes the appropriate change methodology, practices and templates
  • Continuously maintains the Change Community of Practice/change agent network
  • Executes on the change strategy and plans
  • Measures the effectiveness of change interventions on a continuous basis
  • Ensures that stakeholders execute on their roles in the change plan
  • Contributes to the OML engagement plan
  • Works well in a team and autonomously
  • Identifies, manages, and mitigates change management risks and issues
  • Embeds the OM Change and Transformation Framework
  • Onboards Change Partners to the OM Change and Transformation Framework
  • Designs change capability learning content and tools to upskill GHC and the HC community to build their change management knowledge and practical skills

Requirements:

  • Business acumen and HC Value Chain understanding
  • Bachelor of Commerce or Honours in Organisational Development/ Industrial Psychology or any change management or human resources-related qualification
  • 10-15 years’ experience applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools for implementing strategic change
  • Experience in large-scale implementations
  • Financial services industry knowledge
