Overview
A well-established and highly reputable insurance company is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to shape the financial direction of the organization, drive sustainable growth, and enhance operational performance. The CFO will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing insight-driven financial leadership and ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across all business units.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company\'s financial strategy, aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls to safeguard the organization\'s assets.
- Provide strategic guidance on investment, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
- Partner with the executive team to influence business strategy, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, investors, and key business partners.
- Drive a culture of high performance and accountability within the finance team and across the broader organization.
- Lead M&A activities, business case evaluations, and other strategic initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with Financial Services Provider (FSP) registration - Essential / Minimum
- Certificate or Diploma in Treasury - Recommended / Desirable
- MBA in Business Administration - Recommended / Desirable
- Fitness for Duty - Essential / Minimum
- Certified FAIS Professional - Recommended / Desirable
- Minimum 10-12 years in operational finance, with at least 5-8 years in senior financial management or executive finance roles - Essential / Minimum
- Proven track record in the insurance or financial services sector, ideally with exposure to regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance - Recommended / Desirable
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of the insurance and financial services industry, corporate governance, and regulatory environment
- Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including Board members, regulators, and external partners
- High level of financial acumen, analytical capability, and operational insight
