Overview

A well-established and highly reputable insurance company is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to shape the financial direction of the organization, drive sustainable growth, and enhance operational performance. The CFO will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing insight-driven financial leadership and ensuring robust governance, risk management, and compliance across all business units.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy, aligned with long-term business objectives.

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support informed decision-making.

  • Oversee risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.

  • Provide strategic guidance on investment, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.

  • Partner with the executive team to influence business strategy, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, investors, and key business partners.

  • Drive a culture of high performance and accountability within the finance team and across the broader organization.

  • Lead M&A activities, business case evaluations, and other strategic initiatives as required.

Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with Financial Services Provider (FSP) registration — Essential / Minimum

  • Certificate or Diploma in Treasury — Recommended / Desirable

  • MBA in Business Administration — Recommended / Desirable

  • Fitness for Duty — Essential / Minimum

  • Certified FAIS Professional — Recommended / Desirable

  • Minimum 10–12 years in operational finance, with at least 5–8 years in senior financial management or executive finance roles — Essential / Minimum

  • Proven track record in the insurance or financial services sector, ideally with exposure to regulatory compliance, risk management, and corporate governance — Recommended / Desirable

Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of the insurance and financial services industry, corporate governance, and regulatory environment

  • Strategic thinker with excellent leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including Board members, regulators, and external partners

  • High level of financial acumen, analytical capability, and operational insight
