Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Restaurant Group, Western Cape

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a distinguished group of restaurants based in the Western Cape. This senior leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong financial background and proven experience within the hospitality and retail sectors, including hotels and restaurants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of financial management experience
  • Essential: Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
  • Excellent understanding of business financials, taxation, and labour regulations
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage teams and build financial systems from the ground up

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all financial aspects of the business
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial strategies and business plans
  • Manage and oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Compile and present management accounts to stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT, UIF, and statutory requirements
  • Manage full payroll process in compliance with labour laws
  • Oversee creditors, debtors, and all invoicing processes
  • Implement and monitor strong internal controls
  • Drive financial efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational decisions
