Job summary

BMW MINI Somerset West is seeking a qualified Motor Vehicle Technician to join the service team. The ideal candidate will work within a collaborative workshop, servicing and repairing vehicles to the highest standards while focusing on customer safety and satisfaction.

You will maintain knowledge of the latest vehicle technology and participate in ongoing training; bilingual communication in English and Afrikaans is preferred, along with a valid driver’s license and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Qualified Motor Vehicle Technician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a automotive dealership.
• Fully bilingual (English, Afrikaans) preferred.
• Computer literacy and valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete servicing and repair orders efficiently and timeously.
• Diagnose customer problems and communicate effective solutions.
• Order parts timeously and book out to Job Cards to ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain knowledge of changing technologies through training and learning.
• Support the Service Manager and Foreman with beneficial tasks.
• Uphold dealership business processes and continuous improvements.
• Keep workstations, equipment and vehicles neat and treated with care.
