Purpose of the Position

Responsible for the reporting process for month-end and year-end closes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance, Controls & Policies: Develop and maintain controls, procedures, and policies; ensure compliance; support audits; suggest improvements.
2. Month-end and Year-end Reporting: Oversee reporting activities, ensure accuracy in fixed assets, revenue, subsidies, and stock; analyze trends and variances; reconcile accounts; support audit processes.
3. Financial Analysis and Reconciliation: Analyze GL accounts, prepare schedules, ensure compliance with policies, and develop reports for stakeholders.
4. Financial Statements and Disclosures: Assist in preparing financial statements, disclosures, and supporting external audits.
5. Process Improvement: Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives across finance processes.
6. Additional Support: Assist with finance projects, ad hoc analyses, stakeholder relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BCom in Accounting; Honours preferred
