Job description

Centlec, a key electricity distributor across the Free State and parts of the Northern Cape, invites qualified applicants to apply for Security Guard vacancies (24 Posts).

Salary Range: R225,636 – R274,344 per annum

Available Positions

• Security Guard (x12 Posts)
• Security Guard – Armed Response (x12 Posts)
• Education: Grade 10
• Driver’s Licence: Code EB
• Must be able to read and write English and another official language

Experience

• Minimum 2 years in security and response duties
• Firearm competency certificate will be advantageous
• National Key Point (NKP) course is an added advantage

Core Responsibilities

• Patrol Centlec premises and respond to reported incidents
• Deter unauthorized access and investigate break-ins
• Perform static duties at executive locations
• Ensure protection of assets, infrastructure, and personnel
• Provide feedback to the control room after patrols

Additional Requirements for Armed Response

• Must pass a fitness and driving test
• Undergo SAPS criminal screening
• Submit to a medical test
• Attend quarterly shooting practice and annual NKP shooting programme
• Applicants must be PSIRA registered
• Do not apply if you have a criminal record or pending departmental cases
• Ensure all certified documents are up to date (within 3 months)
