CDL Driver - Automated Side Loader (Green Cove Springs, FL)

Position Overview

Join our team as a CDL Driver responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles and providing efficient waste collection services in Green Cove Springs, FL.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform pre- and post-operation checks on vehicles, including tire pressure, fluid levels, safety devices, and gauges, in accordance with FCC regulations.
2. Safely operate vehicles on designated routes through various environments such as roads, residential neighborhoods, and alleys.
3. Operate controls and equipment manually or automatically, following safety procedures.
4. Engage courteously with co-workers, dispatchers, and customers to ensure timely and professional service.
5. Monitor vehicle status continuously to maintain operational readiness and minimize downtime.
6. Complete all necessary paperwork and reports accurately.
7. Adhere to safety regulations and departmental productivity standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in garbage/recycling services preferred.
• Class B commercial driver's license.
• Ability to lift or carry heavy objects as needed.
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) qualifications.
• Must have a Clearinghouse profile.
