Job description

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Representative to join our client's dynamic team in the Retail and Commercial Construction & Workplace (CCW) channels. In this pivotal role, you will drive product demand, grow strategic business relationships, and implement effective marketing programs across key markets as outlined in our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Analyze market coverage, track channel performance, and recommend channel-specific programs or promotions. Coordinate eCommerce activities and recommend adjustments to channel mix based on performance metrics and trends.
  • Portfolio Management: Conduct product portfolio analysis and provide recommendations on digital programs and product strategies to maximize profitability while balancing customer value and market dynamics.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Lead customer discussions to understand needs, provide insights to business teams for marketing campaigns, and develop strong relationships at buyer and MD level.
  • Marketing Implementation: Coordinate with internal and external teams on integrated brand and product marketing programs, including packaging design, promotions, digital marketing, and merchandising.
  • Team Leadership: Provide coaching and leadership to direct teams, affecting operational effectiveness across multiple work groups and important programs.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure legal and trademark compliance for all branding and promotional efforts while meeting industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Combine and interpret multiple analyses of external and internal data to form a clear understanding of the market, identify gaps, and recommend research solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Degree in Sales/Marketing or Commerce
  • 5-10 years of sales experience within the Retail & CCW environment
  • Strong computer literacy, especially with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Expert knowledge of strategic marketing principles and implementation of effective marketing plans
  • Demonstrated success in product launches, distribution, forecasting, and competitor analysis
  • Excellent negotiation skills at Buyer & MD level
  • Self-motivated with ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Market & Business Analysis: Data-driven decision making, comprehensive market understanding, and insight generation
  • Marketing Planning & Strategy: Utilization of marketing plan processes, objective development, and program execution
  • Customer Management: Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to influence external decision makers
  • Business Acumen: Channel partner effectiveness, relationship building, and coaching capability
