Job description

Job Purpose:

The Control Room will be responsible for ensuring the effective monitoring of The listener Program, promptly identifying and responding to security incidents, and maintaining a secure environment. The controller should possess excellent attention to detail, strong observational skills, vigilant individual and the ability to make quick and informed decisions. Additionally, experience with WebEye, DeepAlert, Webfleet, and Fleetcam, would be beneficial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Alarm Systems and Emergency Response:
Monitor alarm systems and respond swiftly to triggered alarms.
• Contact emergency medical services (EMS) or relevant emergency providers as needed.
• Coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders during alarm activations.
2. Vehicle Movement Monitoring:
Monitor and track the movements of vehicles within designated areas using systems such as Webfleet and Fleetcam.
• Report any unauthorized or suspicious vehicle activities promptly.
3. High-Profile Client Protection:
Provide specialized monitoring and protection for high-profile residents.
• Safeguard the residences, businesses, and vehicles of high-profile clients.
• Coordinate with security teams to implement tailored security measures for VIPs.
4. Incident Response:
Respond promptly to security alerts and incidents by reacting the situation and taking appropriate action.
• Coordinate with security personnel and emergency responders to address potential threats or breaches.
Maintain detailed incident logs and provide accurate and timely reports to the appropriate authorities.
5. System Maintenance:
Conduct regular checks on surveillance equipment, alarm systems, and vehicle monitoring systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Report any malfunctions, faults, or irregularities to the designated technical support team and control room manager.
6. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities, incidents, and responses.
• Generate detailed reports for management, summarizing daily activities and incidents.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must reside either in the Somerset-West or Strand area or be willing to move to one of the above mentioned areas.
  • Candidate must be able to reliably commute to and back from work.

On the job requirements:

  • Candidate must possess excellent communication abilities. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with security personnel, law enforcement and other relevant parties during stressful and intense situations. The candidate must be able to remain clear-headed during heated moments and must be able to make split second decisions.
  • The Candidate must be able to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations and company policies related to surveillance activities. It is the candidates responsibility to remain updated regarding industry trends and advancements in surveillance technology.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidate must have a minimum of PSIRA grade A security qualification
  • 2 years of control room experience and 2 years of Listener Controller experience is needed for this role.
