THE JOB AT A GLANCE
You are responsible for developing and implementing the cross-category Profitable Sales & Operations Planning (PS&OP) process within your Portfolio. This includes reviewing plan assumptions, evaluating risks and opportunities, and defining actions to close gaps. You are accountable for the production plan's performance in terms of cost, inventory, utilization, and customer service. Additionally, you provide leadership to the supply planning team (production and material planning) and the demand planning team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manage and improve the execution of the PS&OP process to generate business plans (demand, supply, product management).
- Manage and develop a team of supply and demand planning professionals, conducting performance appraisals.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions to implement best practice PS&OP processes, including CPFR.
- Lead customer service excellence across the portfolio.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of PS&OP tools (e.g., Demantra, ASCP, Oracle).
- Review KPIs such as demand plan accuracy, customer service, stock cover days, and bias; identify improvements and propose corrective actions.
- Manage inventory in line with net working capital and customer service targets to optimize cash flow.
- Consolidate PS&OP outputs at the portfolio level and manage risks through contingency planning.
- Escalate risks and trade-offs to leadership and EXCO.
- Ensure unconstrained demand and supply plans (rolling 24 months) support strategic KPIs, EBIT, and service levels.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
Key Professional Competencies
- Knowledge of integrated business planning, S&OP best practices, project management, customer service, demand & supply planning, procurement, operations, third-party manufacturing, inventory management, and planning tools.
- Foundational skills in conceptual/analytical thinking, commercial acumen, problem-solving, decision-making.
- Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering & BCOM-Logistics.
- Leadership qualities: integrity, respect, long-term results focus, development of self and others.
- Personal effectiveness: communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills, innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, motivation, and growth orientation.
Experience
- At least 6+ years in planning, preferably in FMCG, retail, or make-to-stock environments.
- Experience in the FMCG industry is desirable.
