A major global mining company is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to manage strategic sourcing and supplier relationships. You will lead category strategies aimed at cost optimization and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance and supporting community engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience and hold a degree in a related field.
Job Description
Purpose of the role:
Manage the supply of strategic Upstream Commodities and Services to the De Beers Group of Companies (GoC) to ensure:
Lead the definition and implementation of category strategies to drive:
Be responsible for creating and maintaining contracts for the De Beers group, developing relationships with strategic suppliers, and managing Total Cost of Ownership benefits to meet business needs.
Key Result Areas
Develop, improve, and implement category strategies with stakeholder input based on strategic sourcing principles. Ensure end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and contract management activities are executed properly. Negotiate and conclude agreements, working with Group Legal to develop bespoke contracts that outline innovation, joint development, technical, commercial, relationship, and performance expectations. Support the Supply Chain Manager in related functions.
