SANBI offers a basic annual salary of R 216,417.00.

Location: National Zoological Garden, Mokopane

The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, professional, and responsible individual to:

  • Collect and process cash
  • Provide access control
  • Interact with paying and non-paying visitors for services at Mokopane Biodiversity Conservation Centre (MBCC)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent at NQF 2 with 5 years relevant experience, or
  • Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF 4 with 4 years relevant experience, or
  • An equivalent qualification at NQF 5 (advantageous)

  • Experience in cash and electronic payment processing
  • Operation of financial software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound numerical ability

  • Friendly and well-presented with an outgoing personality
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience
  • Willingness to travel nationally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cashier duties
  • Maintain access control and perform housekeeping
  • Handle general administration, bookings, queries, and animal donations
  • Manage HR responsibilities, stakeholder relations, and ad hoc activities
