Job summary

A leader in the food and beverage industry is seeking a Cash & Carry Assistant in Maitland, Cape Town. This permanent position requires experience in retail and a strong focus on customer service. Responsibilities include managing customer interactions, financial tasks, and general administration. Ideal candidates will be computer literate and fluent in English and Afrikaans. The role may require additional overtime work.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience within a retail branch.
  • Computer literate (Emails, MS Word and Excel).
  • Administrative experience required.
  • Customer Service experience and sales experience are advantageous.
  • Financial administrative experience is a plus.
  • Stock experience is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to customers.
  • Assist in achieving Cash and Carry budget.
  • Manage financial/cash tasks.
  • Perform general administration and filing.
  • Maintain housekeeping and equipment.
  • Fill in for Supervisor as required.
  • Assist with stock counts and switchboard duties.
  • Willingness to do overtime and Saturday work.

Our client, a leader in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a Cash & Carry Assistant to join their team.

Location: Maitland, Cape Town

Job type: Permanent - On site

Responsibilities
  • Provision of excellent service to customers
  • Client sales and assistance in ensuring achievement of Cash and Carry budget
  • Financial / cash management
  • General administration and filing (assisting with Purchase Orders, compiling of banking slips, courier slips, updating spreadsheets, scanning in documents and general filing)
  • Housekeeping and maintenance
  • Fill in for Supervisor as required
  • Assistance with stock counts
  • Assist with switchboard / reception duties
  • Willingness to do overtime and Saturday work when necessary
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience within a retail branch
  • Computer literate (Emails, MS Word and Excel) / ERP system experience highly advantageous
  • Administrative experience
