SiS – Sindhu Immigration Services is an IAA regulated Immigration Law Firm, with its registered office in Oxford Circus, Central London with its branch office in Ilford, East London.

SiS is licenced to provide Immigration & Asylum advice at IAA – Level 3 (Immigration & Asylum; Protection).

SiS has been going through expansion in providing immigration services to its clients and therefore the firm looking for an experienced IAA – Level 3 Accredited Supervisor or Immigration Solicitor who can deal with our client's enquiries and independently supervise team of Immigration Caseworkers.

The successful candidate should ideally have 5 years of experience working in a similar environment.

We expect the candidate to manage his / her own (Level 3) Case working load and Supervise the Immigration Caseworkers team at IAA – Level 1 & 2 (Immigration Advisors).

The successful candidate must be able to manage clients' expectation by taking detailed instructions, discuss & advice clients on edibility requirement; allocate tasks & supervise the case workers; manage case working deadlines and ensure matters are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.

The candidate must have an experience in dealing and supervising the team with following visa application categories :

All PBS categories including Tier 1 Extn / ILR, Global Mobility, Start Up and Innovators Visas, Overseas Business Representative Visas Extensions, Skilled Worker Visa and Temporary Worker Visa.

Spouse & Dependent Child Entry Clearance Visa Applications.

UKVI – Sponsorship License Application – All Categories

Visit Visas – Entry Clearance Application – All Categories

Family and Private Life – (FLR-FP and FLR-M, FLR-HRO) Applications.

Indefinite Leave to Remain – (All Routes) Application including Domestic Violence Application.

Naturalization and British Citizenship Applications.

Have an updated and practical knowledge about all types of Visa & Immigration Application routes; Asylum & Fresh Claim Process and FtT & UT Appeal process.

Experience / Practical knowledge :

Experience in providing high-quality advice and representation to clients

A good understanding of law and policy as it relates to immigration and asylum

Experience in professional, independent, and impartial service delivery to the public

Experience in maintaining a caseload of caseworkers in line with IAA requirements in relation to the conduct of cases, file management and supervision

Knowledge of and empathy with the backgrounds and experiences of asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants

Experience in using client databases and closed matters

Experience working with interpreters, GP surgeries, Immigration Chambers, Country Experts or any third party to provide required support to clients with complex matters

Professional Skills :

Ability to manage a caseload autonomously, prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Ability to keep clients' file records in compliance with IAA standards

Aptitude for grasping complex issues rapidly

Ability to demonstrate good client-facing skills

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office

Communicates effectively at all levels, both verbally and written

Experience supporting and developing volunteers / Junior Caseworker s / Legal Team

Job Role & Key Responsibilities :

Supervising legal team of 3-5 Caseworkers & immigration paralegal.

Adhere to standards set out by IAA / SRA and AQS to deliver high-quality advice

Engage with the Legal Team to create and follow a training plan to ensure compliance with IAA CPD, keeping up to date with changes in law, policy and guidance to ensure clients receive accurate and high-quality advice

Attending clients to take their detailed instructions and Advising clients in relation to the supporting documents for required visa category.

Perusing and Approving the Application Bundle, when and where needed by Case workers including :

o Filling visas application form

o Drafting Legal representation and letters to the Home Office, Courts and other third parties.

Be able to deal with immigration appeal matter including drafting of grounds of appeal, witness statements, preparing appeal bundle, instructing counsel, corresponding with Tribunal and other third parties.

Be able to supervise Caseworker with applications to the UK Visas and Immigration- Home Office on behalf of clients and have full knowledge about immigration rules and Point Based System.

Progress cases in a timely manner in line with regulatory requirements

Have an ability to meet deadlines and work well in a busy office environment.

Have good communication skills, a formal vocabulary, and be confident when speaking to clients both over the phone and in person.

Be familiar with Microsoft and Outlook.

Have great communication skills & record important attendance notes.

Be capable of researching using electronic legal databases and the ability to filter information.

Be good at proofreading and approve relevant supporting documents.

Be able to identify weakness of the cases independently and advice clients in relation to eligibility requirement.

Ensure that any reporting and monitoring requirements agreed with funders are met in full

Maintain clients' files and records in line with file management procedures General responsibilities

Seek to continuously improve in order that the Charity delivers the best possible service to beneficiaries

Ensure that all of SiS's Policies and Procedures are always adhered to.

Attend internal and external training as and when required.

Participate in regular supervisions and team meetings

Working with the Head of Campaigning / Project Manager to raise awareness or further research in relation to the issues our client group face

Attend the office on a regular basis (hybrid working)

Working with volunteers when necessary

Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required
