About Us:
Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women's Council is led, governed, and directed by women from the NPY region. Established to give voice to women across 26 desert communities in Western Australia, South Australia, and the Northern Territory, we provide progressive, innovative, and evidence-based services in advocacy and support. Our core focus is family and community – walytja.
Our Purpose:
To work with women, children, and families in the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara, and Yankunytjatjara regions, helping them lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.
The Team:
The Child and Family Wellbeing Service comprises three programs: Child Nutrition, Child and Family Intensive Support Service (Walytjapiti), and Child Advocacy. Our goal is to deliver targeted, community-focused services to improve the quality of life for Anangu children and communities.
The Role:
The Walytjapiti Case Manager will provide trauma-informed, therapeutic case management to families at risk of entering the child protection system. Support from the wider team and access to supervision will be available. The role involves FIFO work on a 42-day cycle, with travel and accommodation provided.
About You:
Qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Community Services, or relevant experience are required, along with demonstrated case management or community development experience with families and children. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Anangu families and communities, experiencing the landscape and culture of the region.
