Job Title: Case Manager

Location: Life Kingsbury Hospital

Reporting To: Elsabe Redelinghuys, Patient Services Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial and clinical administrative risks related to patients in specialised units such as Intensive Care Units, High Care Units, and Neonatal Intensive Care Units.

Position: Case Manager | Fixed Term Contract

Critical Outputs
  1. Operational Excellence: Conduct ward rounds, ensure accurate collection of clinical data, update information for funding purposes, communicate funder requirements, manage messaging systems, submit accounts accurately, and adhere to governance policies.
  2. Revenue Management: Code patient accounts correctly, interpret funder contracts, and report risks.
  3. Quality Management: Follow escalation processes, investigate incidents, and ensure quality standards.
  4. Stakeholder Relationships: Build relationships, provide training on contracts, feedback issues, and escalate non-compliance.
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Clinical Associates, Paramedics, or related fields with foundational courses in Anatomy, Physiology, etc.
  • Current registration with relevant professional body (e.g., South African Nursing Council).
  • Knowledge of clinical coding, terminology, funder rules, COID.
  • Understanding of business and change management principles.
  • Computer proficiency.
