Job summary

The successful candidate will manage patient data, support clinical partners, and assist with authorisation and coding for managed care files, ensuring accurate hospital billing details.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient details on hospital billing system are accurate and up to date.
• Provide patient history information to clinical partners.
• Monitor and control costs for managed care patients.
• Confirm patient length of stay with medical aid organisations.
• Assist with final authorisation of managed care patient files.
• Ensure correct coding for managed care patients.
• Liaise with service providers regarding patient care and treatment.

Job description

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
• Diploma in Nursing (essential)
• Previous Case Management experience will be advantageous
• Knowledge of medical aids
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience using SAP will be advantageous
• ICD and CPT coding knowledge will be advantageous
