Job description

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced, Multi Skilled Carer to join Wearne Home (Dudley Park Mandurah). This permanent part-time position offers 23 hours per fortnight.

Week 1

• Saturday: 1600-2000
• Sunday: 1600-2000

Week 2

• Tuesday: 0700-1500
• Sunday: 0700-1500

Please note, you must be able to commit to all scheduled days/shifts and attend 6 days of paid training at the Rivervale Training Institute.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualized care
• Assist with care needs in line with care plans
• Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
• Support and advocate for the rights of older people
• Assist with personal hygiene, showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Administer medication

About You

You will build strong, positive relationships with residents and deliver care with compassion, integrity, and dignity. You will play a key role in providing a homely environment and making a positive difference in residents' quality of life.

Essential Criteria

• Certificate III in Aged Care or relevant industry experience
• Effective communication skills and ability to build understanding relationships with residents
• Experience administering medications
• Valid Police Clearance (no older than 6 months) or ability to obtain one
• NDIS Screen Check or willingness to obtain
• Current Flu and Covid vaccinations (3 doses)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Availability to attend a 6-day induction at Rivervale Training Institute
