The Role

We are on the lookout for an experienced Multi-Skilled Carer to join our team at Parry Care Centre in Lesmurdie because our residents have decided they can’t run the place without you! This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 44.5 hours per fortnight. If you want to bring your tea making skills and share a laugh or two with your care specialties to our community, we’d love to hear from you!

Week 1

Tuesday: 0700-1300

Thursday: 0700-1300

Friday: 0700-1300

Week 2

Monday: 0700-1300

Tuesday: 0700-1300

Friday: 0700-1300

Sunday: 2200-0700

Please note, you must be able to commit to all days/shifts to be considered

Key Responsibilities

  • Support residents' physical, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing through individualised care delivery
  • Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
  • Assist with mobilisation and transfer of residents
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
  • Support and advocate the rights of older people
  • Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist at meal times including feeding
  • Assist with medication management, or administer medication to residents in accordance with their medication profile
  • Maintain effective communication in the workplace

About You

As a Carer, you will build strong, positive relationships with our residents and be responsible for the delivery of personal care and assistance to meet individual needs. You will deliver homely and loving environments by providing care with compassion, integrity, and dignity. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Amana Living’s award-winning model of care and be committed to making a real difference to residents' quality of life.

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents
  • Previous experience administering medications
  • Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
  • NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
  • Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinations x3
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Available to attend a compulsory 1-week (Monday to Friday) induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
