Placements24 is seeking an experienced Career Counsellor to guide students and young professionals in Randburg. You will assess interests, skills, and values, offering personalized advice on education, careers, and job market trends.

One-on-one sessions, workshops, and resource development will support career growth within a supportive advisory framework. Responsibilities include counselling, guidance on pathways, resume and interview prep, and staying current with opportunities and industry

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, HR, or related field.
• Professional registration with a relevant counselling or psychological body.
• Proven experience as a Career Counsellor or in a similar advisory role.
• Strong understanding of career development theories and assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counselling sessions to assess students' interests, skills, strengths, and career aspirations.
• Provide guidance on educational pathways, course selection, and university or vocational training applications.
• Assist clients in developing effective job search strategies, including resume writing and interview preparation.
