Job description

Position Summary : This position is responsible for liaising and communicating with Covenant Care referring sources, including individual practitioners and facilities.

The goal is to promote referrals to Covenant Care and ensure that all individuals with a need for home health services are served.

Qualifications :
  • Two years of proven healthcare sales performance, with a degree in marketing, business, public relations, or a related field, or a background in healthcare such as nursing, social work, or other patient-centered healthcare roles preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
Job Relations :

Reports to : Director of Business Development

Main Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Develop and maintain referral relationships by communicating with healthcare practitioners, physician offices, and facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living, and hospitals.
  • Generate referrals to Covenant Care.
  • Mentor and train team members in marketing and sales tactics as needed.
  • Serve as a healthcare expert and patient advocate.
  • Build ongoing relationships and provide education to key personnel in referral source offices and facilities.
  • Ensure appropriate service recovery with the operations team.
  • Educate professional healthcare referral sources.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software proficiently.
  • Follow laws and regulations related to marketing and sales in home health, adhering to Covenant Care policies regarding inducements.
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Community Relations Managers and other team members for market coverage.
  • Track and report referrals and market environment changes.
  • Achieve admission and referral generation goals.
  • Support the implementation of organizational growth campaigns in collaboration with operations leadership.
  • Coordinate with Home Health and Operations Departments to meet admission targets.
  • Communicate market opportunities and plans to leadership.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay updated on medical news, healthcare changes, and maintain licensure if applicable.
  • Stay informed on rules and regulations governing home health and facility care.
  • Update supervisors on facility changes and developments.
  • Develop and execute quarterly plans to generate referrals and meet admission goals.
  • Educate physicians, social workers, and other referral sources about Covenant Care services and serve as a program consultant for facilities.
  • Use statistical data and research tools to support marketing and growth initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Special Demands / Physical Requirements :

This role may involve medium to heavy lifting, considerable travel by motor vehicle, and some weekend and evening work to fulfill essential duties.
