Qualifications

• Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Accounting with CA (SA); or
• Bachelor of Business Science with Honours in Finance / CA (SA).
• Additional CFA, CIMA, or other relevant degrees/professional designations are advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience requirement

• At least 5 years’ experience in business restructuring, leveraged finance, or financial advisory, preferably from a financial institution, professional services firm, or banking background.
• As a senior member of the PwC CARS team, the candidate will lead various financial advisory and restructuring projects across diverse industries, gaining exposure to a wide range of clients, from large multinationals to owner-managed businesses, including cross-border work in Africa.
• The candidate will guide, support, and coach junior team members while delivering high-quality advice on mandates such as:
• Financial restructuring and exit strategies
• Financing and debt advisory services
• Turnaround strategy
• Independent business reviews
• Strategic options analysis
• Short-term cash flow reviews and forecasting
• Cost saving, optimization, and working capital improvement plans
• Collaborate with other PwC teams, including specialists and sector experts
• Advise on Business Rescue proceedings (Chapter 6 of the Companies Act, 2008)
