Job summary

Timken South Africa is seeking a commercially driven Sales Engineer to grow regional accounts across Western and Eastern Cape from Cape Town.

You will blend technical know-how with customer engagement to secure new business, strengthen partner networks, and meet sales targets while maintaining a robust CRM pipeline. Based in Cape Town, you’ll join a global engineering leader with deep regional roots.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred.
• Minimum 5 years sales experience in industrial sectors (bearings, mining, metals, cement, power generation).
• Fluent in business English; Afrikaans helpful.
• Valid SA driver’s license; based in Cape Town or within 30 km.
• South African citizen or valid work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales targets in line with regional strategies.
• Develop regional call plans and drive direct customer growth.
• Grow distribution sales through channel partner networks in WC/EC.
• Spend 70% on direct customer engagement, face-to-face.
• Maintain a healthy CRM pipeline with quality opportunities.
