Snatch | Accounting & Finance Headhunters is working with a growing specialist law firm to appoint an experienced Practice Manager who will oversee its operational, financial and administrative functions in Cape Town CBD.

This senior leadership role requires commercial acumen, discipline and sound judgement to bring structure to a fast-paced professional-services environment while managing multi-office operations and key strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a senior operational leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of labour legislation and statutory compliance.
• Experience implementing, migrating and improving business infrastructure, systems and technology.
• Hands-on experience overseeing day-to-day operational finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payments, financial controls, expenditure, resource allocation, budgets, cash flow and performance.
• Advise on strategy, expansion, investments, major expenditure and commercial proposals.
• Report financial and operational performance to partners and directors.
• Manage multi-office operations and projects, addressing urgent and competing priorities.
• Develop policies, processes and controls; manage operational, financial, legal and reputational risks.
• Support business planning, growth initiatives and effective decision implementation.
• Oversee HR administration, employment processes, workplace compliance, recruitment, onboarding, performance and development.
• Advise on employment agreements, employee relations and sensitive people matters, promoting accountability and legally sound HR practices.
• Oversee infrastructure, technology, service providers and suppliers, ensuring secure, efficient and professional operations.
• Evaluate technology and infrastructure spending, lead improvements, and support business continuity, information security and knowledge management.
• Review commercial agreements, employment documents and policies, supporting governance and compliance with clear legal, financial and operational recommendations.
