Job summary

Webber Wentzel offers a two-year Candidate Attorney Programme designed to develop your legal career through diverse exposure and hands-on training. As a candidate attorney you will be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town and rotate across multiple practice areas to build a broad foundation in law.

The Programme

Our Candidate Attorney Programme offers diverse development opportunities to help each candidate attorney become a valued member of our legal team. We believe in cultivating the knowledge and skills of our people to help them launch successful careers in law.

As a candidate attorney at Webber Wentzel, you will be based in either Johannesburg or Cape Town. Over the two years, you will rotate across various legal practice areas, exposing you to a wide range of legal disciplines. In addition to receiving invaluable training from top attorneys and respected legal practitioners, you will participate in our in-house PLT Programme in preparation for the Attorneys' Admission Examinations. We also provide platforms that enable more experienced attorneys to share their knowledge, impart their wisdom, and support and guide you throughout your two-year journey.

Minimum Requirements

• South African citizen or permanent resident
• Studied or currently studying at a South African institution or holds a SAQA equivalent qualification
• Expected to complete an LLB degree by 1 January 2029
