Job summary

Surry Community College is offering a part-time position for a Facilities Warehouse Assistant. This role is designed for current SCC students who will assist the Facilities Department with clerical tasks and warehouse coordination. Duties include answering phones, receiving and delivering packages, and organizing the warehouse.

Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and can work up to 15 hours per week, receiving $14.00 per hour. Ideal candidates will possess good communication skills and an understanding of warehouse safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Student must be punctual and able to communicate with students/faculty/staff.
• Understanding how to use warehouse equipment such as tractors and pressure washers.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and manage package receiving and delivery.
• Sweep and pressure wash the warehouse.
• Organize the warehouse and follow safety guidelines.
