A dynamic financial services company is seeking an experienced Call Centre Sales Manager to lead and drive a high-performing sales team.
As the Call Centre Sales Manager, you will be responsible for running the sales team in a financial services call centre, leading about 40 staff members. You will create sales plans, set targets, and ensure the team meets financial goals.
This role requires an individual with strong leadership skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a results-driven approach. The ideal candidate will understand disciplinary procedures, monitor performance, and train staff to improve sales.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5–8 years experience in call centre sales within the financial services industry.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in a managerial role within a call centre sales environment.
- Proven track record in sales leadership, achieving and exceeding targets.
- Outbound and inbound sales experience (following up with clients and handling inquiries).
- Strong understanding of credit bureaus, credit reports, and financial products.
- Good knowledge of competitor offerings in the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in sales performance management, reporting, and analytics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, treating the sales department as a revenue-generating unit.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Computer literate with experience in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
Responsibilities:
- Sales & Revenue Generation:
Ensure sales targets and KPIs are consistently met.
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive conversion rates.
Oversee the management of leads to maximize sales potential.
Ensure adherence to Group Policies and Procedures related to sales. - Team Leadership & Performance Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of approximately 40 sales consultants.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to enhance performance.
Monitor staff productivity and activity levels, ensuring efficiency.
Handle performance management and disciplinary procedures as necessary. - Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the first point of contact for new customer inquiries, filtering leads to the appropriate channels.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure retention and satisfaction.
Monitor customer interactions to ensure service excellence and compliance. - Operational & Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement sales plans aligned with business objectives.
Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on sales performance and team productivity.
Identify and implement new initiatives to optimize the sales process.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. - Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
Maintain strong working relationships with other departments.
Work closely with senior management to align sales goals with business strategy.
Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales consultants.
