CAD Designer-Pattern Maker (Clothing Design), Pretoria East

Our client in the Clothing industry is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join their team in Pretoria East. The CAD Designer will collaborate with product developers to create accurate, production-ready files, ensuring correct branding, colors, textures, and patterns.

The role requires the ability to interpret design briefs and swiftly translate garments into CAD, with experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Responsibilities:

1. Research seasonal trends to guide design direction.
2. Develop garment and clothing CAD designs, including detailed Techpacks.
3. Assist in trim development for high-quality finishes.
4. Translate CAD designs into patterns and grading.
5. Create mood boards and color palettes to define design aesthetics.
6. Support range building and competitor analysis.
7. Design branded swing tickets, trims, graphics, and prints aligned with the brand's identity.
8. Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop conceptual designs.
9. Work on various design projects, including apparel graphics, AOP prints, and branding elements.
10. Stay updated on industry trends.
11. Manage overseas samples, photography, and seasonal tagging.

Requirements:

1. Matric.
2. 4-7 years experience as a CAD Designer within the clothing industry.
3. Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
4. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential.
5. Experience in CAD design for garments and trims.
6. Computer literate.
