Job description

We are looking for a technician who will be responsible for the installation of cables and cameras at clients' premises. The technician will maintain quality standards, monitor interface stock levels, and complete administrative documentation as required.

POSITION INFO :

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS :

  • Troubleshoot and resolve network cabling and telecommunication-related issues.
  • Manage all network cabling administration, including updating network drawings.
  • Install and administer CCTV equipment.
  • Clean and check the operational status of cameras and equipment parts.
  • Assemble and set up equipment.
  • Plan and prepare for installations.
  • Perform structured cabling.
  • Analyze camera positions and adjust placement and controls as needed.
  • Report on outstanding calls weekly.
  • Ensure response times meet SLA parameters.
  • Report status to management, identify problems, and alert the manager with sufficient lead time to prevent crises.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and support team goals.
  • Broaden technical, functional, and industry skills through knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor and manage all network-related stock on the customer's site.
  • Ensure all work is of high standard.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant functional areas.
  • Strong telephonic fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent client service skills, capable of dealing with all levels of computer literacy.
  • Methodical problem-solving skills for industrial and office networks.
  • Proficient in cabling skills (CAT5e and CAT6).
  • Quality-oriented approach.
  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of fiber splicing and blowing fiber.
