CA (SA) or CFA Structured Solutions Analyst, International Financial Services Group, Cape Town, South Africa.

POSITION INFO :

Our client, a renowned international Financial Services Group providing specialised financial solutions and advisory services to businesses and high net worth individuals in South Africa, is URGENTLY seeking a suitably qualified or CFA Level 3 Structured Solutions Analyst to be based in their Cape Town CBD offices.

PLEASE NOTE :
  • A negotiable salary commensurate with experience is on offer.
KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS :
  • At minimum, a CA (SA) newly qualified or CFA Level 3.
  • Strong academic results and a financial background (essential).
  • Familiarity with financial statement analysis, financial modelling, stakeholder management, and communications (essential).
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills (essential).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Knowledge of the National Credit Act, JSE listing requirements, securitisation regulations, secured and unsecured borrowing and lending agreements (beneficial).
  • Audit experience in a financial institutions team (“FIST”) (beneficial).
  • Personal interest in and passion for financial markets (beneficial).
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as front office teams, risk management, legal, and compliance, to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Conduct initial credit, financial, and data analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct market research, financial modelling, and feasibility analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure smooth transaction execution and relationship development.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and client dynamics.
  • Maintain CRM with details of meetings, relevant opportunities, and action items.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare external presentations, internal credit papers, external credit information, data analysis, and financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Present transactions to the deal forum and the Merchant West Credit Committee, under the guidance of the Senior Structured Solutions Transactor.
  • Provide transaction and middle office support to ensure smooth operations and efficient presentation and execution of debt financing transactions.
  • Review and prepare accurate and timely internal reporting, as required.
