Job summary

Stonebridge HR Solutions seeks a CA(SA) to lead group reporting, treasury, customer profitability and group consolidations, and to manage the Accounts Receivable team. The role creates capacity for the finance team to focus on analysis, forecasting and business partnering.

The group is dynamic and duties may evolve. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, able to work across teams and ensure accuracy and deadlines across multi-entity reporting, including UK

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with relevant accounting experience in reporting and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and systems proficiency are required.
• Experience in group reporting and multi-entity or multi-currency reporting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Group reporting: prepare and review monthly/periodic packs and ensure deadlines are met.
• Treasury: cash planning and cash flow forecasting across the group.
• Customer profitability: analyze margins and profitability trends by customer.
• Group consolidations: preparation of consolidations and intercompany eliminations, including foreign operations such as the UK.
• Lead Accounts Receivable team and provide day-to-day processing support, including UK operations as needed.
• Be flexible to move between finance functions as the business evolves.

Position overview

The successful candidate will take ownership of group reporting, treasury, customer profitability and group consolidations, and manage the Accounts Receivable team. The role creates the capacity the finance team needs so that senior resources can move away from day to day processing and focus on analysis, forecasting and business partnering.

The group is dynamic. The duties attached to this role will change from time to time to support the development of the group, and the successful candidate needs to be comfortable with that.

Requirements

Minimum

• CA(SA) - Newly qualified
• Relevant accounting experience, including exposure to reporting and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and systems ability.

Advantageous

• Exposure to group consolidations and multi entity or multi currency reporting.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities (Not limited to)

Group reporting

• Preparation and review of monthly and periodic group reporting packs.
• Ensuring reporting deadlines, accuracy and supporting reconciliations are met.
• Variance analysis and commentary to support management review.

Treasury

• Cash planning and cash flow forecasting across the group.
• Oversight of the treasury and cash planning resource reporting into this role.
• Daily bank functions may be added to this area over time.

Customer profitability

• Preparation and maintenance of customer profitability analysis.
• Identifying and reporting on margin and profitability trends by customer.
• Working with the Group Accountant, who retains oversight of this area.

Group consolidations

• Preparation of group consolidations, including intercompany elimination and reconciliation.
• Supporting the consolidation of foreign operations, including the UK.

Dynamic Functions

• Support other functions within the finance department on a need basis. It’s imperative that the ideal candidate are willing to move in between functions within finance as the business requirements change.

Team and general

• Management of the Accounts Receivable team.
• Day to day processing support as required, including support to the UK operation.
• Other relevant ad hoc functions as would reasonably be expected of an accountant.
• Duties may change from time to time to support group developments.
