We are seeking a Buyer based at our Johannesburg offices.

About the Role:

The role involves performing administrative and analytical functions to ensure the company obtains, receives, stores, and issues materials from suppliers, making these available to customers while adhering to cost, quality, and timeline parameters.

Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining a reliable, cost-effective supplier base, ensuring correct and timely order processing and delivery, managing stock levels within financial guidelines, demand planning, inventory analysis, supplier relationship management, sourcing and negotiation, order creation and tracking, and reporting on procurement activities.

Additional duties may be assigned by the Financial Director and Procurement Manager.

About You:
  • Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain (advantageous)
  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (completed)
  • 2-5 years procurement experience
  • Experience in buying, materials management, and stock management
  • Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Syspro)
  • Strong numerical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like Syspro (advantageous)
