Job description

We are looking for a sharp and well-experienced buyer to join our team.

General Description :

Manage the procurement function of JO site to support optimal performance of all operations without interruption of production.

Strategic sourcing of raw materials for a balanced cost advantage.

Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing :
  • Ensure raw material and packaging are purchased OTIF for production at JO.
  • Negotiate raw material and packaging prices locally and for import.
  • Monitor, control, and minimize inbound raw material and packaging costs.
  • Process orders for Jhb import RMs.
  • Manage raw material and packaging stock levels to control working capital as per business requirements.
  • Maximize purchasing power advantages.
  • Explore alternative raw materials, packaging, and suppliers.
  • Obtain and manage supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Define and improve payment terms with suppliers.
  • Implement and maintain preferred and alternate suppliers list and pricing.
  • Evaluate and audit suppliers regularly, documenting and acting on findings.
  • Monitor invoice accuracy against GRNs.
  • Produce reports as needed.
  • Take full responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all site-wide stock takes outside normal hours.
    Education and Experience :
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing/production environment.
    • Diploma in procurement/inventory control.
    • Qualification/experience in logistics.
    • Computer proficiency - advanced.
    Language Skills :

    English mandatory.
