SUMMARY : Our client is seeking an experienced individual with a strong work ethic to effectively manage store operations and controls.

POSITION INFO : Butchery Manager

Area : East Rand, Gauteng

Salary : R to R net per month

Working Hours : Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 18:00
Saturday: 07:00 to 17:00
Sunday: 07:00 to 14:00
One day off per week

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Butchery Management : Run special offers in consultation with senior management. Inspect equipment regularly for safety and functionality. Assist on the shop floor and oversee general store operations. Ensure order accuracy.
• People Management : Supervise butchers or meat cutters, schedule work, rotations, and holidays. Provide on-the-job training, motivate, and develop staff. Plan labor requirements, ensure stock rotation, and evaluate staff performance. Handle IR issues, manage casual staff, overtime, and leave.
• Customer Service : Prepare custom meat cuts and assist customers with queries.
• Reporting : Participate in daily feedback meetings with the manager.

Proficient in Afrikaans & English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding). Minimum of 3 years' experience in retail butchery and production.
