Job Description

This is a summary of what the job involves to help you decide if you are a good fit.

We are looking for a Butchery Counterhand to join our team! In this role youll serve customers at the butchery counter prepare and display meat cuts manage stock levels and keep the counter clean and organized. Key tasks include handling payments maintaining accurate pricing and following food safety guidelines. Youll also work closely with the team to provide friendly and efficient service and share customer feedback to help improve our offerings.

What youll do

This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doingon your days at work.

  • Help prepare and cut different types of meat such as trimming portioning and packaging based on what customers want.
  • Greet customers with a smile answer their questions and help them choose the right meat.
  • Arrange and display meat cuts neatly and in a way that looks fresh and appealing.
  • Check stock levels for meat and supplies and let the manager know if anything is running low.
  • Keep the work area clean by throwing out waste and keeping things tidy.
  • Update prices when needed and make sure all items have the correct price tags.
  • Keep the counter clean and follow all food safety rules to make sure everything is safe and hygienic.
  • Handle payments (cash or card) accurately and make sure all transactions go smoothly.
  • Work with the team to get orders ready quickly especially during busy times.
  • Make sure all meat products are good quality and tell your supervisor if there are any issues.
  • Restock items like bags and wrapping paper throughout the day as needed.
  • Cooperate with coworkers to keep things running smoothly and provide a good experience for customers.
  • Follow all health and safety rules especially when handling cutting and storing meat to avoid contamination.
  • Store meat carefully to avoid crosscontamination keeping raw and cooked products separate and following safety rules.
  • Listen to customer feedback and share it with your manager to help us improve our service and products.
