Job description

The Digitization and Automation team is leading digital transformation by building highly available, scalable digital platforms for the Nedbank enterprise. The team is looking for a Business Transformation Analyst to facilitate the effective design of fit for purpose automation solutions with special emphasis on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to ensure the overall technical quality of these solutions throughout their life cycle in line with the agreed business requirements. The goal of this team is to design and develop high-quality automation solutions to solve business problems / challenges, using both off-the-shelf and open-source technologies. Job Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing automation solutions as required by the business utilising RPA technology or other automation solutions.
  • Maintain and support automation solutions.
  • Independently participate in As-Is and To-Be discovery, analysis and design using relevant analysis techniques.
  • Proactively plan deliverables and take responsibility for individual delivery in terms of quality, scope and pipeline management.
  • To take ultimate accountability for the overall quality of the automation solution and to ensure that the solution aligns with governance in IT frameworks and infrastructure.
  • Ensure sign off on all artefacts created during the SDLC process.
  • Evaluate and, with business owner, sign off on the user acceptance tests.
  • Build and maintain a repository of quality reusable artefacts for the automation environment for the designated business area/cluster.
  • Advises management and technical staff at all stages of the automation process regarding the efficient selection, care, maintenance, upgrading and phasing out of automation solutions.
  • Set and maintain departmental professional standards.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding anticipated enterprise infrastructure changes and initiate actions to manage change.
  • Conduct research and identify market leading trends in the automation environment.
  • Report to line management on delivery of assigned work items.
  • Identifying and organising all the required technical recourses to deliver the intervention plan, which includes the commitment of the time of people to the intervention and to initiate the procurement of additional required resources.
  • Identify any specialised resources needs.
  • Facilitate the business acceptance processes during the warranty period.
  • Arrange and maintain the required access for automation solutions.
  • Attend when required the Group IT Technical and Steering committees.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including other Nedbank clusters.
  • Participate in knowledge Management and knowledge share of delivered solutions.
Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

NQF Level 8 – Engineering, Computer Science, or Computations and Applied Mathematics, Qualification in Computer Programming, Information Technology or Information Systems.

Minimum Experience Level
  • 3+ years of software development experience primarily on RPA & C# development
  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering RPA solutions in the technical environment of BluePrism.
  • A proven track record of supporting operations with ICT or automation solutions; At least three years’ experience of operating systems within a large financial services institution.
