Business Support Specialist - Operational Technology Sustainability
Our Client, a Global Tech firm, is seeking a Business Support Specialist – Operational Technology Sustainability to join their team in Rosebank (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite) on a contract basis.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with different stakeholders at the various operations to understand operational technologies for sustainability and capital projects.
- Engage with the manager, Business Process Custodian (BPC), and Regional Process Owners (RPOs) on continuous business improvement opportunities.
- Focus on continuous improvement rather than day-to-day incidents.
- Analyse business requirements, interpret, and capture them in a business requirements document (BRD).
- Assist in the functional preparation of Business Process Procedures and Documents, Test Scenarios, End-user documentation, and User manuals.
- Manage Incidents / Requests / Changes / Problems and Config requirements effectively.
- Identify gaps in current global / local business processes and ensure optimization.
- Participate in regional governance structures.
- Review quality assurance activities for the functional area, such as regression testing, testing of change requests, and bug fixes.
- Work with the Business Lead to manage requirements from third-party non-SAP suppliers, including interfaces to the application.
- Collaborate with the Global Access and GRC team to ensure process optimization, regional fit, and compliance with statutory and legislative requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Compliance with all processes for incidents, requests, and changes (e.g., Manage Requirements, Critical Incident process).
- Ensure all global and regional vendors meet SLAs.
- Ensure compliance with IM policies and report non-compliance issues.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, King IV, and other governance requirements.
- Maintain good inter-departmental relationships.
- Participate in monthly review meetings for incidents, requests, problems, changes, and projects.
- Staff development through formal training where needed.
- Deliver against strategic roadmaps and initiatives.
- Complete ad hoc requests timely.
- Update and maintain all items on SysAid promptly.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Relevant Technical / IT Degree or Diploma.
- At least 5 years' experience in ESH and ESG processes or similar roles.
- Deep understanding of the sustainability landscape.
- Experience in change management, system integration, and solution design, preferably with global exposure.
- Knowledge of technology and processes within the area of accountability.
