Job description

An automotive manufacturer and distributor company is seeking a Business Representative. This Business Representative role within Sales and Marketing involves supporting various functions including Sales, Administration, Stock Control, Compliance, and Customer Service. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the position aims to achieve departmental targets through effective customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Opening new customer accounts based on viability.
  • Monitoring monthly sales and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinating marketing strategies and promotional activities.
  • Managing credit applications and debt collection processes.
  • Ensuring company assets are maintained per policy.
  • Liaising with Warehouse for stock availability.
  • Monitoring buying patterns and forecasting stock needs.
  • Managing stock rotations and replenishments.
  • Operating within established controls and procedures.
  • Reporting risks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Resolving customer queries and issues promptly.
  • Providing training and updates on products and services.
  • Supporting efficient use of financial resources.
  • Monitoring pricing structures and gross profit.
  • Optimizing company resources and reducing operational costs.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Minimum requirement of Diploma / Certificate (NQF 5).
  • Up to 3 years in a similar role, preferably within Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and ERP Systems.
  • Proactive, problem-solving, customer-focused, and strong communication skills.
