This career is available in Outsourced Business for the role of Business Project Manager based in Hill on Empire, reporting to Manager: Outsourced Business Operations.

What will you do?

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring:

System Platforms Providers

  • Strategic alignment of initiatives for Outsourced Business (OB) by the System Platform Providers (SPP) and the Binder Holders. They will also manage relationships between Santam and the SPPs through regular engagements, supporting the Outsourced Business and Business Integration teams.
Principal accountabilities include:
  • Ensuring strategic alignment of initiatives for OB by the SPP and the Binder Holders.
  • Managing relationships between Santam and the SPPs through regular engagements.
  • Supporting the OB and Business Integration teams; acting as the central point of contact at Santam for all SPPs.
  • Maintaining and reporting on initiative backlog; driving implementation of initiatives through the SPP and Binder Holders.
  • Preparing steerco packs for monthly meetings with the SPPs, chairing, facilitating, and minuting these meetings.
  • Prioritizing new initiatives with the Outsourced Business Committee.
  • Driving timely completion of initiatives within budget.
  • Attending monthly prioritization meetings and providing feedback to the Outsourced Business team.
  • Managing the SPP initiative budget and estimation management; reviewing work orders and costing.
  • Reviewing invoices against work orders and facilitating invoice payments.
  • Participating in meetings with Binders Holders, SPPs, and Santam teams regarding deployments, migrations, and issue resolution.
  • Preparing for quarterly planning meetings and guiding discussions on initiatives.
  • Performing ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher Certificate in Insurance
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management
