The role:

To support the Business in assessing and managing shareholder and stakeholder value to be derived from our operations through the collaboration of key operational data, marketing assumptions, and macro-economic inputs.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Consolidate ideas/project ideas into a portfolio of capital, business development, and sustaining projects.
2. Interpolate the impact of the strategic business plan as well as the marketing plan and ensure the required impacts are analysed and responded to in line with the assigned operations plans.
3. Interface with operational business units and functional leads on project work, Resource and Development Plans, and Life of Mine (LoM) Plans, providing inputs into the Seriti Group Summary model, working closely with finance for the preparation and running of operational cost models through cost accounting methods and models.
4. Integrate the short-term plan for each of the mines and how they compare to one another; this role will perform the analysis of the various costs and product impacts and thereafter suggest amendments to the plan for value optimization.
5. Assist in developing long-term plans for each operation incorporating mine and processing, functional, and infrastructure plans.
6. Conduct business evaluation advice that follows the business internal policy, standards, and practices.
7. Analyse the monthly spend against the approved capital plan for the assigned operations, identifying trends, investigating variances, and clearly articulating risks and opportunities.
8. Review and collate all capital inputs in terms of the planning cycles for the assigned area of responsibility and submit for group consideration.
9. Perform adhoc scenario modelling to test equipment purchases, closures of operations, and up or downscaling of the specific operation.
10. Support marketing in terms of scenario testing of different product options.
11. Participate in the development of closure plans for the operations, both LoM & Mine provisions.
12. Produce closure planning inputs in terms of cost modelling of rehabilitation activities.
13. Prepare presentation materials and reports in support of Planning Cycle requirements, Investment Cases, Capital Plan & Business Plan.
14. Drive the Seriti Way, values, and behavioural competencies through empowered leadership and active culture custodianship and participate in the strategic direction of the business.

Requirements:

1. Degree or National Diploma in Business / Commerce / Finance / Engineering.
2. A minimum of 3 years of Mining or Manufacturing Industry experience, of which 1 year should be in a supervisory position.
3. Sound knowledge of applicable Finance policies and procedures.
4. Thorough understanding of all legislation regulating and procedures.
5. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage and influence a broad customer base.
6. Relevant influencing, networking, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
7. Advanced MS Office Excel & PowerPoint.
8. Excellent computer literacy skills (MS Office).
9. SAP experience.
10. Valid driver's license.
11. In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness.
