Job Description

This is a regional (Area) based sales management role based in East Rand. The role manages a team of Financial Advisors with 24+ months of experience, focusing on recruiting, supporting, and developing (coaching and training) Financial Advisors to build successful practices and generate compliant advice-based sales. Additionally, this role contributes to the overall management and leadership of the branch by serving as a member of the Area MANCO.

Key Result Areas:
  • People Management: Recruitment and selection of financial advisers; development & coaching of advisers; performance management to build and sustain a productive team.
  • Sales Management: Strategy and business plan execution and evaluation; driving, monitoring, and reporting sales, practice management, compliance, and risk management.
  • Financial Management: Applying business acumen to financial decisions; undertaking budgeting and expense management.
  • Managing existing business processes such as conservation, outstanding business, financing, administration, and client care.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Matric or equivalent.
  • FAIS compliant with a certificate in Financial Planning or equivalent qualification with at least 120 credits at NQF level 5.
  • Passed RE 5 level 1.
  • Previous experience as a Sales Manager is preferable.
  • Accreditation on all PFA-distributed products and other optional products.
  • Preferably 24 months of service as a Financial Advisor.
  • Strong administrative capabilities.
  • Comfortable applying the sales process and six-step financial process.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and assertiveness.
  • Coaching skills.
