Role Overview

This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for the strategic growth, performance, and development of the national service business. You’ll drive customer satisfaction through proactive service delivery, implement cutting-edge support models, and ensure your team stays ahead of technological trends in the industrial space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a national service team (technical field staff, service coordinators, support).
  • Drive strategic initiatives to improve service efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.
  • Implement technology-led service models including remote diagnostics, smart tooling, and digital tracking.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a senior client liaison, handling escalations and major contracts.
  • Partner with sales, technical, and logistics departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies, tools, and service platforms.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA advantageous).
  • Minimum 7–10 years in senior service management roles, ideally with over 15 years total in the service environment .
  • Strong technical aptitude — able to grasp and communicate product and service innovations.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior management role with regional team oversight.
  • Strong customer relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Customer-focused with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Willingness to travel across Southern and Sub-Saharan Africa.
