Responsibilities

• Design and develop Business Intelligence solutions that drive informed decision-making.
• Integrate and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow and analysis.
• Create compelling dashboards and reports that transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure BI solutions align with business objectives.
• Design and maintain data integration processes, consolidating data from various sources into a centralized repository.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency in integration processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in data-related tasks.
• Collaborate closely with end-users to efficiently resolve data queries and issues.
• Build scripts for flexible data evaluation across data sets.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, test cases, performance monitoring, and evaluation.
• Provide expert guidance on data strategy and business intelligence solutions.
• Design and develop SQL databases, including data modelling, table creation, and optimization.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Integrate data from various sources into SQL databases, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, KPI scorecards
• Create paginated reports
• Effectively cleanse, prepare, mine and manage dataflows.
• Provide required support on all allocated projects and actively share information and thinking with teams
• Ensure a project and change management approach is adopted for all continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent required
• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related qualification required.
• Microsoft certification in power BI is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a BI Developer
• 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in SQL development and Business Intelligence.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in data warehouse design and data mining
• Retail industry experience is preferred.
