Business Development Specialist – Bids
Location: Sandton
CTC: R44,000 per month (inclusive of benefits)
Work Model: Full-time, on-site (no hybrid/remote)

What you’ll do:

You’ll be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and leading the end-to-end development of compelling bids, tenders, and proposals. You’ll shape pitch strategies, craft sharp key messages, and coordinate inputs across legal and business teams to deliver standout submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and prepare high-quality bids, tenders, and proposals that align with client requirements and deadlines
  • Develop tailored messaging that articulates unique value for each scope of work
  • Maintain and regularly update pitch/tender collateral to ensure professionalism and relevance
  • Monitor and track bid outcomes to continuously refine and improve processes
  • Build relationships with clients, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain pitch and proposal records on InterAction for streamlined reporting
  • Contribute to broader BD initiatives including CRM and legal directory submissions
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
  • 2–4 years of experience in a business development role, preferably within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Exposure to the legal industry is advantageous
  • Excellent command of English with strong oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM systems such as InterAction
