Job description

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  1. Scrutinize client databases to identify leads and assess potential clients for suitability and viability.
  2. Make calls, schedule meetings, and maintain telesales records.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.

Sales & Business Development:

  1. Prepare and present quotations or proposals in collaboration with operations management.
  2. Manage a measurable sales pipeline to meet targets.
  3. Maintain and update sales schedules, reports, and statistics.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies, coordinate bid committees, and prepare tender / proposal documents.
  5. Ensure submissions meet requirements and are completed on time.
  6. Follow up on tender statuses and manage handovers for successful proposals.

Presentations & Client Engagement:

  1. Develop visually appealing and accurate client presentations tailored to specific needs.
  2. Organize and coordinate resources for presentations and client entertainment events.

Administration & Reporting:

  1. Handle correspondence, proofread documents, and maintain accurate records.
  2. Submit weekly and monthly reports on sales and tender activities.

Self-Management:

  1. Plan activities quarterly, review progress regularly, and provide updates to management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Matric

EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL)

  • At least 5 - 8 years' sales experience in a dedicated new sales and business development function for a Corporate entity.
  • Have necessary relationships within the private sector and Government departments, and sectors to include - Industrial, Mining, Corporate, Educational, Healthcare, and be able to interact at multiple levels across all sectors.
  • Sales and operations experience in outsourced food services, canteen and catering services within a Corporate entity is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
