Job description

Our client, a market leader in property management software, has an opportunity for a Business Development Representative to join their fast-growing team based in Gauteng. This is a fully remote position for a candidate based in Gauteng.

The ideal candidate must be willing and able to travel within the Gauteng province, servicing clients at their place of business while working remotely for our client who is based in Somerset West, Cape Town.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dynamic and outgoing Business Development Representative to join their growing team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about property management, business development, and software solutions.

The successful candidate will sell financial software packages tailored for property management, working independently while meeting daily KPIs and contributing to the company's sales growth. If you're goal-driven, tech-savvy, and eager to build strong client relationships, this is the perfect opportunity to excel in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote and sell property management software to prospective clients.
  2. Generate leads through prospecting activities and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  3. Close deals end-to-end and onboard new clients, managing your own accounts.
  4. Conduct research to identify potential clients and tailor sales approaches.
  5. Schedule demos, negotiate contracts, and finalize legal agreements.
  6. Upsell existing customers to adopt multiple software solutions.
  7. Provide training and support to clients, ensuring their satisfaction.
  8. Collaborate with the marketing and sales leadership team to create proactive sales campaigns.
  9. Stay updated on technology trends and industry best practices.
Measures of Success
  1. Achieving monthly conversion targets.
  2. Progressing potential prospects through the sales stages effectively.
  3. Demonstrating a high level of client satisfaction with training and support.
  4. Meeting and exceeding daily KPIs and outbound activity targets.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  1. Education: Diploma or degree in finance (preferred).
  2. Experience: 2–3 years of property management experience.
  3. Proven sales experience, with a strong track record in closing deals.
  4. Familiarity with financial software, such as Pastel or similar platforms.
  5. Experience in administration and management (advantageous).
Technical Skills
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to handle outbound sales activities and cold calls.

This position is remote work and is full time, Monday-Friday.

Location: Somerset West

Salary: R30 - R50 CTC per month depending on experience
