A boutique financial services firm is seeking a Business Development Officer in Gauteng, responsible for developing new business and enhancing client relationships. The role involves executing a business development plan, market research, and maintaining client interactions. The ideal candidate has a commercial background, strong sales experience, and bilingual skills in Afrikaans and English.
will be responsible for developing new business and following up on leads in the Gauteng region for a niche, boutique financial services firm.
Reporting to the Head of New Business, the
BDO will identify and develop opportunities directly with commercial clients or via brokers.
Develop and execute a business development plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
Identify potential clients and establish relationships with them to understand their financial needs.
Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and development.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the company's CRM system.
Provide exceptional customer service to maintain relationships with existing clients.
Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure that clients receive a seamless experience.
Products include : Asset based finance
Requirements :
Commercial qualification (finance, marketing, business management or similar will be advantageous)
Bilingual (fluent in Afrikaans and English)
3-5 years experience in the commercial finance space will be beneficial AND / OR
a passion for developing professional relationships and achieving sales targets
Track record of achieving sales targets
Drivers licence as role requires someone who will visit clients
