Business Development: Mining Specialist
Relevant bachelors degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in business development or sales within the mining or heavy industries.
Strong knowledge of mining operations, equipment, and procurement processes.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and business growth in mining or industrial markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel frequently to remote mining sites and attend industry events.
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector (both surface and underground).
Ensure physical visits, online meetings, and phone calls with mining prospects on a weekly basis to sell The Company's full range of logistics services.
Update all commercial activities in (CRM) timeously and completely.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including mining companies, contractors, suppliers, and government entities.
Develop strategic plans to grow market share in target regions and segments.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and potential clients.
Collaborate with teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Lead the proposal and tendering process, including pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and closing deals.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand awareness and develop leads.
Provide regular forecasts, reports, and updates to management.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to mining operations and contracts.
